- The negative valuation of Aerolíneas
Argentinas and Austral was at 2.19 billion
pesos on July 17 2008, the date on which
the government signed a deal with the Spanish
Marsans group that owns them. The General
Auditor of the Nation (AGN) has therefore
increased the negative value by 1.296 billion
pesos, which is expected to lead to an increase
in the ongoing conflict in the negotiations
between Marsans and the government.
- The government will today announce a significant
measure in terms of the oil market, during
a conference led by President Cristina Fernández
de Kirchner from her residency in Olivos.
According to government sources, the president
will launch the Petróleo Plus program,
which will offer tax incentives to companies
that generate the largest investments, which
the government hopes will lead to greater
amounts of production and reserves. The
President yesterday unveiled policies to
promote the the motorcycle industry.
